For the month of February 2009, California Paws is proud to support SF PAWS by a donation of cat supplies.

PAWS is a volunteer-based organization that provides for the comprehensive needs of companion animals for low-income persons with HIV/AIDS, persons with other disabling illnesses, and seniors. PAWS offers an animal food bank, subsidized veterinary care, case management, in-home pet care, transportation to veterinary and grooming appointments, and emergency foster care. PAWS also educates care providers and the general public on zoonoses and the benefits of the human-animal bond; assists disabled individuals with service animals who are facing housing problems such as eviction and lack of reasonable accommodation; and helps other localities start or strengthen PAWS-type agencies.
